I love playing God. Because I wield no influence in real life, a computer game placing me in total control is my ideal. I got hooked on Sim City from the start.

My parents had an IBM PS2. The computer did not have a proper graphics card, and thus, my first copy of Sim City played in black and white.

What Sim City looked like when I played in 1989

I won all the scenarios, created as many cities as space allowed, and of course, maintained my one slum city where everything goes wrong and residents live in squallor and fear.

I upgraded to Sim City 3000 in 2000, and in fact, I still use it today. Despite the limitations, it appeals to my sense of control, rank, file, order and re-order.
