In an awkward period of my life, I spent one semester of the seventh grade in the chess club. In fact, I tried to name an opening move after myself.

(Me): e3
Opponent move
(Me): Nc3
Opponent move
(Me): f3
Opponent move
(Me): Bf2
Opponent move
(Me): Ng3
Opponent move
(Me): Be2
Opponent move
(Me): 0-0

I disregarded my opponent's moves, because, without question, I had to complete my move. There is no advantage to my series of moves, other than clogging the middle of the board. Beyond that, I had no hope. I don't "see two moves ahead" easily in mind. My crowning achievement in the chess club: defeating a classmate, who in frustration, grabbed a dictionary from the shelf and lobbed it in my direction.
